Editorial team

We are a small team of analysts who've covered Apple silicon, the iPhone lineup, and adjacent ecosystems for years. Every article on TechPulse is reviewed by an editor before publication and carries a byline.

Sources & methodology

We rely on primary reporting: Bloomberg (Mark Gurman), The Information, supply-chain analyst reports (Ming-Chi Kuo, Ross Young, Jeff Pu), Apple's own filings, and regulatory submissions. Every article lists its sources.

We don't reword press releases. We don't publish rumors without naming the source. We don't use AI to fabricate quotes or to invent data. AI assists with drafting and editing, but every draft is reviewed by a human editor before publication.

Every claim carries a confidence level: Confirmed (Apple official), Credible (multiple primary sources agree), Possible (single credible source), Speculative (analyst prediction, no source).

Editorial process

1. Triage.Every rumor or report that crosses our desk gets a confidence label and a source link. If we can't name a primary source, we don't publish it.
2. Draft. A draft is written against the category template (news / rumor / spec / faq / compare). Numbers that affect buying decisions — battery, RAM, storage, price — are flagged for human review.
3. Verify. Every claim with a sourcing footnote is re-checked against the original publication. Quotes are matched verbatim.
4. Re-check on a cadence.Each rumor is reviewed weekly during the pre-launch window and after every primary-source update. The article's lastUpdated field is the most recent verification date.
5. Status transitions are public. When a rumor moves from Speculative to Possible to Credible, the change is written into the article body, not just the frontmatter. Readers can see the history.
6. Corrections are dated.Substantive corrections add an "Update" section at the top with the new date and what changed. Small fixes happen in place.

Funding & independence

TechPulse is independently funded by its editorial team. We do not accept payment from Apple, any of its competitors, or any case / accessory maker. We do not run paid placements or sponsored stories. We do not sell review units or pre-briefings.

Some links may eventually become affiliate links (clearly marked) for products we already recommend; affiliate revenue never influences our reporting. The current site carries no ads and no affiliate links. If this changes, we will note it here.

Why this site exists

Most Apple rumor sites either rewrite Bloomberg / The Information in real time (which is fine but adds nothing) or publish speculation dressed as fact (which is worse). The window between an analyst report and Apple's official announcement is where readers most need signal vs. noise — and most existing coverage doesn't help them tell the difference.

We exist to make that window readable. Confidence labels, source attribution, and dated updates are how we do it.

Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we correct it openly. Substantive corrections are dated and noted at the top of the article. Smaller fixes happen in place. Email editors@techpulse.press to flag an issue.
