What does the display actually show?

The display shows a small floating window of information in the upper-right of your field of view. It can show:

• Turn-by-turn walking and driving directions
• Real-time translation captions
• A camera viewfinder
• Music controls (track name, play/pause, skip)
• Meta AI visual responses

The display is monochrome white-on-dark by default, with limited color support in some apps. It is not a full AR overlay — it does not render 3D content in your environment.

What is the Meta Neural Band?

The Meta Neural Band is a 42-gram wristband that ships in the box with the Meta Ray-Ban Display. It uses surface electromyography (sEMG) to read the electrical signals your forearm muscles produce when you move your fingers. A pinch of thumb and index finger is a "click." A twist of the wrist is a "scroll." Writing on a flat surface with your index finger, as if you had a pen, types text that appears in the on-lens window.

The Neural Band lasts about 18 hours on a charge and is IPX7 water resistant. It pairs only with the Meta Ray-Ban Display — it is not compatible with the cheaper $299 Ray-Ban Meta.

How long does the battery last?

The glasses last about 6 hours of mixed use on a single charge. The included charging case extends total runtime to about 30 hours before the case itself needs to be plugged in over USB-C. The Neural Band lasts about 18 hours per charge, charged via the included magnetic puck.

Six hours is short by smartwatch standards. Meta's framing is that the glasses are meant for short interactions — read a message, get a navigation step, take a photo — not for continuous all-day wear.

Does the Meta Ray-Ban Display work with an iPhone?

Yes. The Meta Ray-Ban Display works with both iPhones and Android phones. The companion app is the Meta AI app, available on the iOS App Store. Pairing is over Bluetooth 5.3. You need iOS 15 or later.
